Urgent help needed!

PROBLEM:

Some serious leaks in the roof of The Underground Art Gallery
require major repairs costing up to $60,000.

The Gallery--which is the main source of income for artist Karen North Wells, and a part of Cape Cod history because of its unique architecture--needs immediate repairs so that the gallery may remain open.

SOLUTION:
To fix the leaky roof, all the earth needs to be removed from the top of the gallery, and new waterproofing needs to be placed down before replacing the earth on top.

YOUR HELP:
Please donate whatever you can to help rebuild the roof so that the Underground Art Gallery may remain open and a piece of Cape Cod and Earth-sheltered history is preserved.

Stay tuned to this blog for updates on the progress of the roof project.

Malcolm Wells - Perpetuating His Vision

Deemed the father of modern earth-sheltered architecture, the late Malcolm Wells imagined a future in which society worked with nature, rather than against it. Throughout the restoration of the Underground Art Gallery, those involved are committed to continuing Mr. Wells' work of restoring the earth's surface to a more natural habitat for a sustainable future.
